ASB is providing a solution for real estate investors

PRESS RELEASE, November 13, 2008

ASB is a partner of the CiJ Awards 2008 in Poland and has a good reason to support the “Best Office Development” category this year. The award-giving ceremony, organized by the publisher of the CEE Construction & Investment Journal (CiJ), is to attract the exceptional attention of the real estate community, which is facing a financial crisis these days.

Not only are real estate investors wondering whether it’s worth to carry out their investment plans in the CEE region, but they are also considering many contradictory aspects. On the one hand, it’s clear that the crisis will be more serious than originally expected; on the other hand, there is still an enormous potential in the Polish real estate market.

According to the Warsaw Business Journal, the Polish office market remains characterized by a relatively low level of saturation in comparison to other top European cities. The “secondary cities” are especially expected to obtain many new projects from large developers. While the crisis may hit some of the smaller and less experienced office developers, it could, at the same time, prove an opportunity for large players with long-term strategies to purchase plots at attractive prices.
In every case, the crisis will force all developers to look for cost savings and more careful strategic planning. And that is why ASB Poland has come up with a solution.

“ASB works closely with real estate investors in CEE. We provide them with comprehensive services, helping them to start a successful business in Poland straightaway. The business model based on the outsourcing of management, administration and accounting to ASB enables real estate investors to save operational costs and spend more time on strategic decisions. Therefore, this model is most likely to save the investment projects that face a lack of finance now,” explains Przemek Oleksy, Managing Director of ASB Poland, who also explains the present situation on the market: “There is still a big potential in office development here. In Warsaw, there is a lack of attractive office space in good locations and the city centre requires new investments. It would do harm to suppress further development due to cost reduction because it can be often resolved by implementing a new business model.”

The CiJ Award Poland gala evening is taking place on November 13, 2008, from 7 p.m. at the Hotel InterContinental Warszawa, where Przemek Oleksy will present the winner of the “Best Office Development.”
